For Old Times Sake Antiques is at home in its location in historic downtown Wake Forest, located 30 minutes north of Raleigh, North Carolina.
Co-owner Laura Cashwell, serves as president of the Wake Forest Downtown Business Alliance, a group of merchants and business owners who also have their stores and offices in historic downtown. They work together to make historic downtown Wake Forest a destination that draws visitors from near and far.
There are a variety of shops, stores, art galleries and restaurants in historic downtown Wake Forest, which is located off of Main Street along South White Street, Brooks, Taylor and other adjoining roads. Some people don’t know where historic downtown is, but once they find it, they are pleasantly surprised by what it offers.
We even have a craft brewing company here (White Street Brewing Co), along with a cultural arts center (Renaissance Centre), hardware store (B&W), coffee shop (Wake Forest Coffee Co.) clothing store (Pink) and much, much more.
Visitors to Wake Forest agree the quaint downtown has a charm and unique feel to it, unlike other areas. A number of events presented by Wake Forest Downtown, Inc., a non-profit group of individuals, business/property owners and volunteers, help attract visitors to the many downtown businesses.
Events include Dirt Day, Friday Night on White, Art After Hours, Charity Car Show, Beach Night on White and the Wake Forest Christmas Parade.
